Sometimes the best things in life come unexpected and today was one of those days. What Andri Ragettli did was jaw-dropping, miraculous and just straight astonishing. 18-year-old Andre Ragettli has been hitting insane tricks since he first started skiing and during his run at Suzuki Nine Royals snow feature in Italy, he took it to a whole other level. Like attempting to be the first in the world to hit a quad cork 1800 type of whole other level. For those who don’t know, a quad cork 1800 entails catapulting off a ramp about 115 feet into the air and completing four off-axis flips (corks) while doing 5 rotations at the same time.
When Andri Ragettli woke up that day, attempting the quad cork 1800 had never entered his mind. After some trial runs and picture-perfect conditions, Ragettli decided to chase the impossible and go for it. What did he have to lose? No one had ever landed the quad cork 1800 and it would be an epic feat if he could somehow pull it off.
When you never stop chasing greatness, you eventually catch it. Andri Ragettli managed to land the trick and even made it seem effortless. Ragettli was pumped to land the trick:
“I didn’t plan on doing this trick, but it was the perfect day and the biggest and best jump that I have ever jumped.”
"So stoked to land my first ever quad cork 1800!" said Ragettli on his Facebook page.
